Spa Policies

We strive to give you our very best in order to enhance your spa experience with us. We adhere to certain policies to benefit you, and create a harmonious environment where our treatment providers can focus on your needs. We know you will have a pleasant experience with us as we strive to exceed your expectations!

FIRST VISIT

If you are receiving any of our services for the first time, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out the intake form and to also decompress a bit from the stress of Houston traffic. Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, reducing its effectiveness and your pleasure. Your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed.

APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING

We strongly suggest you pre-book your next appointment to assure your day and time preferences can be accommodated.

LATE POLICY

If your arrival is delayed, we will make every effort to accommodate your full appointment, but this is not always possible. If you are late, we will gladly accommodate you with an abbreviated service to avoid delays for other guests as treatments are charged at full value.

The grace period for appointments is as follows:

  • 5 minutes only for a 15-minute scheduled appointment
  • 10 minutes only for a 30-minute scheduled appointment
  • 15 minutes only for a 1-hour scheduled appointment

Understand as a courtesy to the next appointment, if you arrive late, your services shall finish at the original scheduled time and you will be charged the full service price. Arriving too late to perform the service may also result in full charges (or equivalent deductions from gift cards). We regret that late arrivals will not receive an extension of scheduled service times and you will be responsible for full service fees.

Please plan accordingly for bad weather, traffic and road conditions, or daylight savings time, as to not inconvenience yourself or have an abbreviated session.

CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY

We aim to provide our clients the highest quality service and we pride ourselves on our exceptional staff. In order for Sleek Laser and Skin Center to continue to offer great services at reasonable prices, we require at least a 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduled appointments. Because appointment times are reserved for you, you must notify us at least 24-hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If you cancel within less than 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have taken your scheduled appointment time. In addition, we are still obligated to compensate our staff for their time as well.

Failure to cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time will result in a $75 non-refundable fee or forfeiture of pre-paid treatment, to include your monthly VIP membership treatment.

Courtesy calls will be done for all customers 48-hours in advance as a reminder of your upcoming appointment. Keep in mind we may be unsuccessful in contacting you to remind you of your appointment. We offer an appointment card at the time of making an in-person appointment as a reminder. Ultimately, it is your responsibility to know when your appointment is and our call is only a courtesy. We cannot be held responsible as the reason you miss your appointment. Remember that our “no-show” policy fee is $75 or forfeiture of your monthly treatment.

*NOTE: Cancellations made on the same day as the scheduled appointment or appointments canceled after the scheduled time of the appointment will be considered a no-show.

Clients with 3 no-show* appointments within a 1 year period must pay with a credit card at time of booking. NO EXCEPTIONS. Failure to show for your appointment will result in the card being charged for the missed appointment.

Cancellations can be made three ways.

  1. Call directly to spa representative
  2. Leave a voicemail, that is time stamped
  3. Email appts@sleeklaser.com that will be time stamped (must be at least 24 hours in advance)

We understand life happens, but we also appreciate your cooperation. We are reasonable and understand that emergencies "come up”. We can make exceptions, but will notate your account of the missed appointment. All future no-shows or late cancellations will be subject to our policy, without exception.

Our promise to you. If we cancel you appointment with less than a 24 hours’ notice and cannot reschedule you the same day, we will apply a $49 service credit for you or a one-time extension of a monthly treatment, as our apology for your time inconvenience.

PAYMENTS

We accept Sleek Laser & Skin Center Gift Cards, Cash, Debit cards, MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover credit cards, with a valid picture I.D. and Credit Card present. VIP Members, in good standing may pay by check with approval.

Please bring cash for payment of gratuities.

GRATUITY

Gratuities may be paid directly to the aesthetician or treatment provider in cash. We proudly recruit and train our staff to be the most qualified spa professionals in the industry. Gratuities are not included in services unless otherwise noted. The customary gratuity is 18-25% of the value of the service, but any amount is optional. Generally the amount ranges from $10-$40. Feel free to ask our staff at check out for assistance in this matter. Our treatment providers, of course appreciate your acknowledgement if they have done an exceptional job, however, if the added expense of the tip makes it a financial challenge, we would rather see you a second time rather than having you worry about a tip. Gratuities are not included in gift cards unless otherwise noted. Tips are appropriate for all spa services and therapeutic treatments. If you would like to show your appreciation, you may do so at the end of your visit. Cash gratuities are always appreciated.

DEPOSITS

Deposits are required for some services and for parties of two or more. Deposits are required for new clients. Deposits may also be required if there are frequent no-show or cancellation occurrences. Deposits are refundable up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled service appointment time. Deposits are non-refundable within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment time.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

Please notify our Spa Consultant before reserving your treatments if you have high blood pressure, special physical concerns, diabetes, or are pregnant. All guests will be asked to complete a brief medical questionnaire upon check-in, and recertify at each appointment.

Sun exposure and certain medications are contraindicated to many of our services; please let us know in prior to arriving to your appointment, so you are not inconvenienced and turned away for your scheduled service because of concern of recent sun exposure or new medications.

CHILDREN AND FRIENDS OR FAMILY

Spa guests must be 18 years of age or older to receive treatments without the approval or accompaniment of an adult. Insurance regulations require those who are not receiving services cannot remain in a treatment area. We will gladly service children 6 years and up, in our Spa area provided that they are of the maturity level to enjoy the services without disturbing other patrons and are receiving a service. Parents must accompany them during their treatment. Parental consent is required for anyone under the age of 18 receiving any service.

QUIET ENVIRONMENT

In order to maximize your spa experience and that of our quests, we ask that you do not bring in children under the age of 10, especially infants and toddlers.

Children/Infants: In order to maximize your spa experience and that of our other guests, children under 10 (especially toddlers and infants) are not allowed in the spa unless they are receiving a service. Even if you have someone else watching them for you in the lobby- the sound of an infant or toddler's cries can carry and is disruptive to the peace and tranquility of everyone's experience- yours, your therapists and other guests. Please do not put us in the position to ask you to reschedule if you arrive with a child. A fee for the lost appointment will also be levied in this case.

VISITORS

We are unable to accommodate visitors accompanying clients in the treatment area of the spa including those complying with our age restriction policy because of privacy and safety reasons. All non-clients must remain in the waiting lounge. Minors, under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Our staff cannot be responsible for caring for minor children. You will need to reschedule your appointment if you arrive with your children without adult supervision. In this case you will be subject to the cancellation policy.

Our spa lounge is not large enough to hold several non-clients. We kindly ask you to limit the number of visitors you bring with you to your appointment to allow space for our scheduled clients.

GIFT CARDS (SEE ALSO TERMS & CONDITIONS ON GIFT CARD)*

The words "Spa Certificate", "Gift Certificate" and "Gift Card" are used interchangeably. Unfortunately, we are unable to process any returns or reimburse any payment transactions on gift certificates or gift cards if lost or stolen. Please treat gift cards like cash. Purchase of a gift card/certificate acknowledges that you understand this policy and will let your recipient know of these policies. Gift Cards are available for specified services, packages, or dollar amounts beginning at $25. Donation cards are non-transferable, and expiration dates may not be changed or extended. No-call/no-shows: If you make an appointment and do not show up, and you have a gift card, we will charge your gift card $75 or 50% of the service, whichever is more. If this happens a second time, we will charge your gift card for the full amount. These charges are necessary because we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have taken your scheduled appointment time. In addition, we are still obligated to compensate our staff for their time as well.

Regarding gift cards; it’s helpful to mention that you have a gift card and the gift card number when booking your appointment so we can look up your card and properly prepare for your spa treatment.

PRICES SUBJECT TO CHANGE

We are constantly expanding our services to bring you the latest and greatest. Although we make every effort to keep our website and spa menu updated, please note that prices and services are subject to change at any time, except as specified within the terms of the VIP membership agreement.

We love having you as a client, but we do reserve the right to refuse service at any time, to anyone, for any reason.

CLIENTS RIGHT TO KNOW

We strive to exceed our clients’ needs. We believe that advising our clients of the products best suited for them is as essential as the service we perform. Therefore, our client's right to know policy advises each client on the products and techniques best suited for the client to maximize the benefits of their service.

TREATMENT PROVIDER

While we will make every effort to meet your requests, we cannot guarantee a specific treatment provider.

GROUPON & LIVINGSOCIAL VOUCHERS

All clients who have purchased these deals are required to make advanced appointments. If you need to cancel or reschedule a reservation, we require a 24-hour advanced notice. Appointments cancelled or rescheduled in less than required time will be billed $75 of original voucher value. Please provide your Groupon/Livingsocial number when calling for reservation. Remember to bring your voucher with your to your first appointment.

A free consultation is required prior to redeeming the purchased voucher. Services such as photo facials and laser peels require the consultation to be at least one day prior to the scheduled treatment. A face-to-face consultation is required for proper evaluation and a topical anesthetic application is required to be applied two hours before the treatment.

Due to our busy appointment schedules, late arrivals will result in a shortened service time. Keep in mind when calling to schedule an appointment just prior to the voucher expiration may result in no appointments available, because many people will be trying to redeem their vouchers at the last minute. To avoid this situation it is best to make an appointment soon after your voucher purchase. Expired vouchers will only be honored at face value of the purchase price to be used towards any regular priced service. The voucher discount will not be accepted after the expiration date. For vouchers with multiple treatments, the first treatment of the series must be used prior to the expiration date or the voucher will be forfeited and only redeemed at face value for regular priced services.

All Spa Policies apply to purchases of Groupon and Living Social vouchers.

JEWELRY

We suggest you arrange for your valuables prior to your visit with us. Please do not put your jewelry into tissues or on the table. We cannot be held responsible for your lost valuables.

It is our intention to help you maximize the many benefits of your spa experience. We encourage you to communicate your questions or thoughts about your service treatments to your technician so we may accommodate your needs.
